IADI has three categories of participation. Currently, IADI has Members (98), Associates (11), and Partners (17).

Members are entities that, under law or agreements, have a deposit insurance system and have been approved for membership in IADI. IADI currently has 98 Members.

Associates are entities that do not fulfil all of the criteria to be a Member, but are considering the establishment of a deposit insurance system and entities that are part of a jurisdiction’s financial safety net and have a direct interest in the effectiveness of the jurisdiction’s deposit insurance system.

Partners are not-for-profit entities, such as international financial institutions, that have entered into a cooperative arrangement with IADI in furtherance of IADI’s objectives.
